Lee Woofenden has translated each of the quotes in our books from the Latin writings of Emanuel Swedenborg into contemporary English. He aims to make Swedenborg’s ideas readable and relatable for ordinary people by putting them into the language in which we think and talk today.

Lee has a long history of translating and editing Swedenborg’s works, including many years working for the Swedenborg Foundation in America. Rendering spiritual ideas that are often abstract and subtle into immediately understandable English is no mean feat. We are delighted with his wonderful translations for our books.
